Description
One of the many "lakes" that make up the Bottomless Lake State Park near Roswell NM. There's more to Roswell than just aliens!
These lakes are actually a series of sinkholes and are fed mostly by water coming from underground. There are no streams or rivers that fill these lakes, and the amount of rain received in the hot desert climate is not enough, by itself, to replenish the water.
The names of the lakes in the State Park are as follows:
Lazy Lagoon
Cottonwood Lake
Mirror Lake (north)
Mirror Lake (south)
Devil's Inkwell
Figure Eight Lake (north)
Figure Eight Lake (south)
Pasture Lake
Lost Lake
Lea Lake
I know for certain this isn't Lazy Lagoon or Lea Lake, but of the remaining, I'm not sure.
