I'm not sure why they say that leading someone down the garden path is somehow deceiving them. Here we have a garden path, I'm following someone. There was no deception.
This scene is from the Anastasie Fătu Botanical Gardens in Iasi, Romania. It's toward the back age of the garden, where there are more trees and less flowers. Almost like a walk in the forest.
