Artist's Description
On the way to the Cinque Terre, the ferry first stops here. Though technically not part of the Cinque Terre, Port Venere is a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the other 5 villages.
The history of the site dates back to at least the first century BC. A temple to Venus is now a church, In Roman times this was a fishing village. Lots of interesting history since then.
I posted a previous painting of this village but called it "Le Grazie", which is an area next door. Very confusing from the water.

Self taught, I use the computer to paint. I've always been interested in computers since I first worked on one way back in high school. And I've always had an appreciation for art, as my mother is an accomplished painter. Merging the two, what you see are the results. Digital work that looks (hopefully!) like a traditional painting.
