Product Details

Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

Artist's Description

A view from a gondola in one of Venice's many canals. People on the bridge stop and watch as the gondola passes underneath. The gondola, currently in shadow from the tall buildings lining the canal, will soon be in the sun after the next turn. Venice is a city where light and shadow meet in many interesting ways. This piece is a subset of another work, called "Crossing the Canal" which I finished last year. After completing that work, I thought a more close up view would also be interesting. While based on that previous work, this is a complete repainting.

Self taught, I use the computer to paint. I've always been interested in computers since I first worked on one way back in high school. And I've always had an appreciation for art, as my mother is an accomplished painter. Merging the two, what you see are the results. Digital work that looks (hopefully!) like a traditional painting. My paintings are mostly places I've been, preserving the memory and sharing them with the world. I love to travel, seeing and experiencing new things. Painting the things I see reflect the wonder I had when I first saw them. I hope that when people see my works, they think the subject matter is interesting, whether or not they like the painting.
