Artist's Description
The Council Square (Piața Sfatului) is the heart of Brasov, Romania. It has been a marketplace since 1364. The large building, dating from 1420, used to be the City Hall, but is now the county's Museum of History. Around the square you will find shops and homes all dating back to the 1700's. The entire area is a historic site.
This is perhaps my favorite area in my favorite Romanian city. There will be more paintings of this are to come.
