Artist's Description

The Italian city of La Spezia, the starting point of our journey to the Cinque Terre. This is a view from the harbor as we set sale for the Five Lands

La Spezia has been a place of human habitation for thousands of years, even before the Romans. It was an important seaport for the Romans, the Republic of Genoa and now for Italy itself.

Perhaps not as "famous" as a tourist destination as the Cinque Terre, much like everything else Italian, it still makes for a nice painting.

Self taught, I use the computer to paint. I've always been interested in computers since I first worked on one way back in high school. And I've always had an appreciation for art, as my mother is an accomplished painter. Merging the two, what you see are the results. Digital work that looks (hopefully!) like a traditional painting.
