This is actually Porto Venere, which is next door to Le Grazie. Further research shows this to be true. They are all along the coast so telling them apart was a bit diffuclt being as it was my first time to see these places. Apologies!
The small village of Le Grazie, Italy on an inlet of the Gulf of La Spezia. This village has old Roman ruins, churches and monasteries dating back to the 15th Century with artwork from the Master. Yet this tiny little village doesn't even seem to rate a page in Wikipedia. Go figure.
The name of the village is derived from the Monastery of Nosta Signora delle Grazie (Our Lady of Graces).
This is a view of the village from the ferry boat that carries people from La Spezia to here and the 5 towns of the Cinque Terre.
Self taught, I use the computer to paint. I've always been interested in computers since I first worked on one way back in high school. And I've always had an appreciation for art, as my mother is an accomplished painter. Merging the two, what you see are the results. Digital work that looks (hopefully!) like a traditional painting. My paintings are mostly places I've been, preserving the memory and sharing them with the world. I love to travel, seeing and experiencing new things. Painting the things I see reflect the wonder I had when I first saw them. I hope that when people see my works, they think the subject matter is interesting, whether or not they like the painting.
