Description
A small mountain, called the Beehive, rises 520 ft. above Sand Beach on the easter side of Mount Desert Island. I was told it got its name because the rock and such looked like a beehive from afar. There are hiking trails all around and you can even go to the summit, if you so wanted.
The Beehive is located in Acadia National Park not far from Bar Harbor, Maine.
